We all know wedding planning isn't exactly a walk in the park. As a wedding planner, my sole job is to take the stress away from your big day so you can take time to enjoy the process, not let it ruin the fun! What is the best way to decide if a wedding planner is right for you? Check out some of the benefits:
Time Saver!
Everyone is busy working full time, going to the gym to get in wedding shape, spending quality time with their partner and family, sleeping, ect. When you have a wedding planner you are able to take a break and let them do all the work with scheduling meetings, and even attending those meetings if you or your partner have crazy schedules if you're unavailable. Thank god for FaceTime and videos!
2. Don't Break the Bank
Wedding planners not only help you create a budget, but also stick to it! When you plan a wedding yourself, alot of little costs tend to get overlooked and not accounted for because it is bought in the moment, or booked while multitasking, and then without knowing it you could be thousands of dollars over budget. It adds up QUICK! Creative planning with visual design is obviously a perk to hiring a wedding planner, but creative financial planning is another great reason to have a planner for your special day! Planners have all the tips and tricks for saving money or making a vision of your come to life in a unique way (within budget).
3. Save your Sanity
Not only can a wedding planner save you and your partner any unnecessary stress, but we can possibly save your marriage before it even begins (no one wants to be a bridezilla). This is your BIG DAY, you should not be panicked, stressed, or rushed to do anything! This is one of the best times of your life and you should experience excitement and joy during the planning process. Let the wedding planner listen to your vision and guide you in this process.
4. Vendor Selection
You can’t alway trust people or what you read online. With a wedding planner's expert advice, you don’t have to worry about your vendors being legit or scammers, or not as great as the reviews online. Most wedding planners have close or personal relationships with their vendors which can offer you a peace of mind. Some planners even work exclusively with other vendors which can give you discounted rates in certain areas!
5. Advocacy
When you hire a wedding planner it’s as if you hired your own personal and emotional bodyguard! WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! As planners, our job is to make sure your vision comes to life. We work for you and no one else! If one of your vendors doesn’t seem to see your vision and you are too afraid to speak up, let your planner know and they will make sure you get what you are asking for. If you don’t want the TVs turned on at the reception to watch a baseball game, let your planner know and they will make sure it doesn’t happen. If your great aunt's plus one is making a drunken scene during the reception, your planner will gladly have them escorted out. You get the picture. We don’t mind being the ones to blame if it’s what makes you happy in the end! Our job is to make sure you are satisfied. Planners know how to do this in a respectful and discrete manner, whereas other family members are emotionally attached and can end up causing a bigger scene trying to fix the problem.
Overall, wedding planners are your best friends! There is a lot of trust and respect between clients and planners, and in the end, we all want the same thing: A PERFECT WEDDING DAY. As always, Cheers to my Beautiful Couples! -Nicole
